A main project was the introduction of the collaborative decision making process and connecting IT-Tools & Analytics for Vienna International Airport. At the Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB) Gerald works in the field of innovation and prototyping, specializing in data in its various aspects. This includes Data Science, Predictive Analytics and Cognitive Analysis and Blockchain for various business segments in the ÖBB - Group. The department of Digital Innovations (branded DIGI@ttack) he is co-heading was established in July 2017 and is responsible for operational digitalization across the group, to drive the company towards the goal of a digital railway.
